Not Only Monkeys – Fun & Unique Interpretations of »see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil«
Everything began with the three monkeys from Nikkō – a symbol known all over the world today.
But our project ThreeMonkeys.center is not only about monkeys 🐒.
We want to show that the message “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” inspires people around the globe to create funny, unique and creative interpretations – from three owls 🦉 and three angels 😇 to three pigs 🐷, three Buddhas 🙏 and many other characters imagined by people worldwide.
We are open, tolerant and full of smiles – because not everyone has to love the monkeys as much as we do.
Our center is the place where all forms of this message come together. 🌍✨
The idea for creating this page came up during conversations with collectors, friends and enthusiasts of the symbol – also thanks to Inka’s suggestion.
Many people noticed that the message “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” exists today in hundreds of different forms, reaching far beyond the classic three monkeys.
That’s why we created this space – to gather the most interesting, unusual and creative interpretations of this symbol from around the world.
Our goal is to show how people across different continents reinterpret this message – sometimes with humor, sometimes with deeper reflection.
Everything related to the idea of “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” will find its place right here.
